Support Students at Our Mother of Sorrows and St. Ignatius Schools

Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Ignatius Catholic Schools are tax-exempt under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

All families at Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Ignatius schools understand the value of education. Every family contributes at least $2,500 in tuition, even though the median household income in the school communities was $19,359 in the year 2000. The cost of educating a student at Our Mother of Sorrows or Saint Ignatius is $3,450, and because families receive discounts when more than one child is enrolled in school, the average family pays only $2,100 per student. Each year Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Ignatius schools require over $100,000 in donations to continue educating their children.

There are many ways to help. To make a donation now click on the “Donate” button above. Please consider sponsoring a student for a year by paying the full cost of a student’s education ($3,450) or for half a year ($1,725.) Individuals who sponsor a student will receive updates about the student during the year and be invited to meet the student at a school event. To sponsor a student or learn about volunteering, creating a scholarship fund, making tax-deductible corporate donations, stock transfers, or bequests, please call Simon Kaufman in the development office, at 215-386-5065. OMS and SI participate in box-tops for education. Each box-top you bring to school will provide $0.10 for student support.
