University and Community Partnerships: The schools benefit from partnerships with St. Joseph’s, Villanova, and Drexel Universities, St. Coleman, Epiphany of Our Lord, St. Martin of Tours, St. John Neumann, the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Sisters of Saint Joseph, Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, and several local civic organizations. |



CURRICULUM: Both Our Mother of Sorrows and Saint Ignatius of Loyola schools are Middle States accredited and follow the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum, which is based on state standards. In addition to traditional academic subjects, specialists provide weekly instruction in technology, art, music theory, voice lessons, and physical education. The facility includes a computer lab fully updated in 2007, the bright, spacious Margaret Madden Arts Center, renovated in 2006, and a full size gym. Both schools have wireless web connections, computer centers, and wireless laptop carts. |

SUPPORT SERVICES: The schools have a full library and a fully staffed resource room providing students in grades five through eight the critical opportunity to get the academic reinforcement needed to achieve their fullest potential. Both schools also have a psychologist, counselor, math teacher, and speech clinician provided by Elwyn Inc., a Parent Involvement Counselor provided by Catapult Learning, and a reading support specialist for students in grades K through four provided by Title 1. |

Extracurricular Activities: Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of extra curricular activities, including Jr. Great Books, Writing Club, Choir, Students Run Philly Style, Student Council, Science Club, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Math Challenge. |

Home and School Connection: Parents and guardians meet monthly with teachers and administrators to develop programs and activities that enhance student learning and build community.
